RII30815 Certificate III in Civil Construction Plant Operations

This qualification reflects the role of a skilled operator working with civil construction plant, who applies a broad range of skills in a varied work context, using some discretion and judgement and relevant theoretical knowledge. The individual may provide theoretical advice and support a team.
The qualification has 19 units in total being made up of 14 Core and 5 Elective units.
Only one unit can be selected from outside this training package to make up the necessary requirements to meet the qualification criteria.
The qualification can be delivered via a training plan agreed to between the client and the RTO ensuring all performance criteria are met and assessment is conducted progressively over time

Single units can be delivered and assessed on application on or off-site dependant on participant or client needs.

All units are delivered and assessed to address leaner needs and RPL is available to candidates who meet the RPL criteria for each unit (refer to RPL / RCC Policy)

A FULL QUALIFICATION IS ISSUED WHERE ALL REQUIRED UNITS ARE COMPLETED ACCORDING TO TRAINING PACKAGE

RECOMMENDED RECERTIFICATION PERIOD
The Qld Coal Mining Act requires all coal mine workers to complete a refresher of every skill that they have a unit of competency for at least once every 5 years. The holder of some units unit may have to complete this refresher to obtain or maintain authorisation to enter and work in a confined space 

Note: Some refresher periods may differ from site to site
